Del Toro is cracked man I swear

Beautifully shot n fantastically portrayed, the story of a monster and his creator going through their journey of discovery and reconciliation with who they are was hauntingly beautiful

I gotta read the original story now

When you first start it’s like “I’m a linguistic genius holy shit”

Then you get to the part where you have to put different parts together and suddenly it’s like “ah fuck hang on I might be stupid actually”

At long last, One Piece can no longer drag out a 4 panel scene for 5 minutes

This news coupled with them redoing pre timeskip ( Stuido WIT) and re editing post timeskip to trim the fat, means pretty soon OP will be in the best shape to view it for everyone

there's a scene early on involving a cat being dragged through a hatch door, but the cats reactions to being dragged made me very uncomfortable/mad

Couldn't find anything about animal mistreatment on the movie's production ( I did research trust me ), but that never really left my mind since

Castle Freak (1995)

Idk how to feel about this one honestly, as a Charles Band/Full Moon production it has the vibes of Pupper Master which I appreciate, and the FX work is stellar alongside some strong performances

But it is a very sleazy movie, which made it a hard watch towards the 3rd act

My favorite bit is when the guy who judo Threw a titan over then pulls an entire building down on some guys with just ODM gear and pure strength, while being gunned down

So shit, the story changes are so bog standard too

Banger film based on of of the best arcs of the story, animated incredibly faithfully to Fujimoto's art style, even more so than the original anime series, Seeing it in IMAX was a treat too

If you like Chainsaw Man then I think you already know what to do

Hollow Knight Silksong (2025)

It's peak I fear

Vibes, characters, atmosphere, and the way the narrative is delivered is as engaging as it was in HK, if not more so with the added addition of more animated cutscenes and Hornet conversing with the characters of Pharloom
