Trump DOJ Seeks Naughty List After Judicial Setback in Powell Probe
"That's why we are asking Santa for access to his private records, and I think we all know which list Powell is going to be on. The naughty one."

Maybe somewhere out there, someone is.
Amazing show. Also Blue-Eyes Samurai.
I don’t care what people think about a 49-year-old watching “kid shows”. Although I never read the manga (which had sold as many copies as Harry Potter books) or watched the anime, the live action One Peace show on Netflix is fantastic. Season 2 is even better than season 1.
Area Woman Dead After Life-Changing Journey Through Time
"Fishman reassures us that death, although possible, is rare and should probably not deter anyone who is drifting through a seemingly pointless life from seeking out a transformative concussion..."

Garth Marenghi does. And he’s right.
I was also surprised to learn it was directed by Mike Flanagan, again not really because that guy loves him some Steven King. Great job all around. I loved the cast.
Flanagan might be doing King's best work, and my favorite series of all time ,The Dark Tower!

After a couple disappointments, Life of Chuck was a really solid film. I was surprised to learn it is based on a Steven King novella, though not really because King has written plenty of amazing non-horror stories.
Guns? Hating women and minority groups? Being okay with dead kids? New England clam chowder?
And this was before CGI and AI. The hours they must have spent training that dragonfly! These days insect wranglers can’t even find jobs.
Keeping some mystery in the relationship is important.
Been there. A heads up would be nice.
I agree. The act of writing draws out my thoughts. I almost always don’t know what is going to come out when I start writing and I work it out in real time. There is an excitement and even a joy in that discovery process. AI is stealing our voices and our souls.

Quote of the Day: Remembering the Good Old Days
"These days, with social media and its ability to force people into increasingly limited silos of curated information, I can't just feast on a few entrails and expect word of mouth to do the rest."

Thanks to @drscottk.medsky.social for speaking at our grand rounds this morning. He gave us the friends and family discount so we only had to make sure that there were red M&Ms and Fiji water in the green room. Kidding aside, he is an excellent resource on safe sleep and preventing infant deaths.
We can win this thing!
“And doubts about vaccines are increasingly spilling into refusal of other mainstays of pediatric medicine… At a hospital in Boise, Idaho, for example, three infants died last year after their parents declined a shot of vitamin K, administered to newborns to prevent bleeding, said Dr. Amanda Lee”

More Dentists Turn to Lasers to Improve Patient Care, Fend Off Looters
"Unlike drills or scalpels, lasers minimize bleeding, promote healing, reduce infection, and can take down multiple intruders at a time if you wait until they are lined up just right."

Vinay Prasad was a COVID disinformation doctor and MAHA royalty. He still "loves" President Trump.
No one is obligated to care what he has to say or take him seriously ever again.
That, +12 other thoughts on his dismal, failed tenure at the FDA.
My latest.
Saw that. Spielberg is involved. Looks promising.
Little known fact: that was the original name for Earth, Wind & Fire.

Just finished it. An extremely undeserved “happy” ending. So far I’ve been disappointed with the Oscar crop, although Sorry, Baby was okay. Just not what I expected. I’m hoping Hamnet is good.
The characters are all very unlikeable. Just bad people. The jokes too often rely on the two men being naked or hitting each other. Just kinda lazy. And its such obvious wish fulfillment from the writer/director/stars.
Medicine is hard.
Splitsville is a very bad movie.
