All these chuds are so convinced that they know why our country developed a social safety net for various citizens and that the current version is not being used as it was intended. They couldn’t be more wrong.

Any government that does good things for the public needs to make sure the public *knows* what the good things were and *how* they are good. We’ve had 6 months of bad, providing opportunities to compare and contrast in the future. Communication and messaging is important!

The Roosevelt Institute report is linked in Greg Sargent’s piece. Read both. As voters, we need to be prepared to tell our Democratic candidates for federal office what we want them to focus on when they win their elections. This is a good start toward what Dems should reckon with.

I had a friend chastise me about 10 years ago for saying an anti-choice candidate would never get my vote. Now women in my state have no control over their own reproductive health and our own party says we should focus on other issues?? We have fewer rights than we did 45 years ago!!

The party as a whole should be jumping with excitement at a young, charismatic candidate who won a primary; denouncing a primary loser who's trying to play spoiler; and appalled by anyone who's cool with Nazi stuff or insisting that's how to reach men.
