Big trick when it comes to designing info puzzles for modern/scifi/cyberpunk TTRPGS is to either:
- Have the internet be so omni-present, that critical information must be airwalled for protection
- Have the internet devolved into federated local networks so you need to be in physical proximity

I loved On-Gaku: Our Sound so much, and I really wish there was a series of the main character just doing the things he wants in his way. Like, each episode he gets into another skill and people just kind of support him while he does it.

Looking for FOSS alternatives to Notion, preferably with much of the same functionality and preferably with the option to self-host and optionally integrate with Git. I know y'all can help me out with this! Docmost looks promising but they have pricing, which makes me wary.

To paraphrase a friend: stay on the path, make good things. Indie has always flourished in the face of AAA distraction. Times are bad, but let others deskill, pivot to nonsense or chase impossible outcomes. People really like playing videogames. Suits forget that every 6 months or so.

Energy/Mana/Card Cost. I don't necessarily dislike it, but I love when decisions come solely from opportunity cost, as opposed to an arbitrary resource limit.

Installing anything via the command line tool gives me the heebie-jeebies

There's actually a lot of overlap between Transistor's ability system and Bibidi Bibidi's spell crafting, in the sense that you have an opportunity cost to choose the most effective functionality for each ability/card. This was not a conscious decision, but I do love Transistor.
