The place I work at is small (~20 employees), they treat us well and I wouldn’t expect them to replace people with machines directly. But I know they’re still a business and if something happens to cut our money inflow, I doubt layoffs are out of the question

I’m the lead artist and my responsibilities go beyond to the actual business operation, so I’m not as worried about me. But I have two artists under me that I don’t want her to harm. if this is just to make our jobs easier great, but I don’t trust businesses adopting new automation not to do layoffs

Awful coworker (who is obsessed with non-generative AI and uses chatgpt for nearly everything) has now started pushing us to “automate” some of the things that we artists tend to have on our jobs list and i swear to god if she makes me redundant………..

Like, this smell was so strong that I thought maybe a cat knocked over a bottle of cleaner or something because I have no perfume bottles in my house at all (and cats have no access to cleaners either)

I'm finally accepting that I get phantom smells

just experienced the weirdest cloud of old person perfume that I swear reminded me of something my (still living) mom used to wear. it was gone in 5 minutes but it was SO strong. might keep tabs on whether I get a migraine anytime soon

My student loans, car, and mortgage are all low priority right now 🤣 getting rid of that nightmare 22% interest crap first

This is what worries me. My parents are getting older and I’m going to have to consolidate us all in the next few years, so I’m not sure if it’s better to get rid of cc debt or just make sure I have as much capital as possible

Yeah that’s what I’m doing! I’m doing a snowball method from highest to lowest interest which is why I have an aggressive payoff of December, but I’m more just wondering if I should put the debt to the wayside and focus on saving as much as possible instead

I pretty much have a plan to be rid of cc debt by December but it requires that I put most of my spare cash to that purpose every month but I have no idea what the future holds

Is it better to pay off debt with every spare dollar or save money and only pay minimums? I keep going back and forth in this stressful unpredictable time
