I interpreted those as being a 3D version of the kind of simplistic car shapes kids would doodle.

For me, it suffers the same problem season two of The Mandalorian had, where it leans a bit too heavily into nudging and winking at fans of the games.

I think it's because --apart from the moments they sing-- I always saw them as being like silent era cartoon characters, or mute video game protagonists.

Season 2 overall --despite some good moments-- fell completely flat for me anyways. It's a bad sign when the finale is basically just all set up for another season.

Also, I got the feeling the writers had no idea what to do with Maximus. A shame, because he was an interesting character in season 1.

I just got around to watching the finale for Fallout season 2.

Let's just say my thoughts on the episode can be summed up by my saying "oh my fucking god" (derogatory) out loud at the reveal in the post credit scene.

Getting harder and harder to take media that paints the US-of-A as the default good guys seriously.

P4: close up of cartoon me as he stares silently at the page, with an uncertain look on his face P5: same POV, except now cartoon me has a big smile on his face P6: POV pans back to reveal the room cartoon me is sat in, which is shrouded in darkness. Out the window, a city is but jng in the distance, while the door to the room is barred shit with a plank of wood wedged under the doorknob. Cartoon me remains blissfully oblivious, as he stares smiling at his creation.

P3: A look of happiness on his face, Cartoon Me raises his head upward, speaking to someone above. "Except for YOU, of course. No matter what, you are always there for me." P4: We cut to an over the shoulder view to see what Cartoon Me is looking at. It's a crack in the ceiling. P5: A beat, as we remain on that. P6: An otherworldly "HÖÖÖÖÖÖ" comes out of the crack. Cartoon Me responds with "at once, oh master."
