It implies DC and Marvel donated comics, rather than it just bein pre-owned comics.

I am so tempted to ask Frazer on the Facebook group page what he plans to do with the princely £37 he made, but that would be an instant ban.

Using this as an excuse to share this poster. As with a lot of bad toy-commercials-masquerading-as-a-cartoon, the promo art goes WAY too hard.

I remember being surprised when I saw camcorder footage of myself from when I was around 12, and I actually had more of an accent back then! Seems it got sort of sanded down during my teens.

Yeah, same for me. I have what my family would describe as a "neutral" accent. I have been mistaken by others for being American, British... even Eastern European.

"Media accent," is a good way to put it, as I've a feeling it's my constant diet of American and British media that had that effect.

Yeah, unfortunately you hear a lot of younger people here in Ireland talking in that sort of generic faux-American accent.

Ha, yeah, it seems to be one of those 50/50 things. Depending on the person, it either works or doesn't, with no inbetween.

The trick I learned way back when was to bring the image right up to my nose, until my vision of the Magic Eye pic blurred.

Then, I slowly move it (or my head) back, keeping my vision blurred as I do. Eventually, the 3D image forms.

I just think its amazing that Ditko casually designed this more than 60 years ago and it is still one of the best designs ever.
