Exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1897. This large painting shows a band playing outside the Dock Inn in Dock Street, at the foot of Chapel Street in Penzance, with the parish church of St Mary's in the background. ⁠

Looking down onto the floor of the old Penlee Lifeboat Station. There is a heavy metal hook laying in place where it once kept the lifeboat in place. The floor is covered in red flaky paint a ladder lays next to the hook. The walls are bright orange.

The ramp which held the lifeboat, angled towards the sea through the partially open door. Overalls are hanging down on the left. A blue ladder is over on the right leading to an upper level we can’t see.
