Twenty years ago, U.S. tech companies arrived in Ireland eager to set up their European headquarters in an English-speaking country with beneficial tax rates and an educated workforce.

When I was a teenager, mysterious street signs appeared near my school in Rathmines pointing to 'the grafton quarter.' Followed them one day as far as Camden Street, where they disappeared (none there, none on Harcourt St, none on Grafton St itself). They were taken down a few years later.

Where are the riots when white Irish men attack? Riotous reaction to Citywest allegations were rooted in racism. If your reaction to that is denial — ask yourself where the rioters were after Alanna Quinn Idris was attacked?

Bad enough the Gardaí gave free run to the far right for years.

Bad enough arson against immigrant centres became standard practice for racists.

Bad enough we've already had race riots.

The Taoiseach & Táinaiste poured petrol on all the above during the week, & we shouldn't be shy in saying it.
