They just had a different idea and you liked that idea.

Chatting about a cool concept isn’t the same as sitting in a writing room with innumerable other facets of production relying on you.

Theories and "expectations" have had a nasty impact on culture.

They just set people up to get mad when the story the artist tells doesn't line up with whatever people imagined based off "patterns" that don't really mean anything.

Wait for the end, enjoy the ride, and let a story be what it is.

Sony acquired Bluepoint in 2021, and killed it before Bluepoint could release A SINGLE GAME as a first-party studio. Unless I'm mistaken, this has never happened before. Even the unluckiest studios released a game before being gutted.
