I really think journalists should be more unkind to companies regardless of “journalistic principles.” I don't care what Elon wants it to be called. Spite Elon and just call it Twitter. We all know what that means.

I think that some dog whistles occasionally make their way into common parlance, leading people to use them unintentionally? I can't think of any examples, but that could be a way it happens.
