Protecting animal cultures as World Heritage - Nature Sustainability It is becoming increasingly clear that animal cultures have intrinsic, irreplaceable value, and yet they are not adequately protected by preserving habitat. The time has come for UNESCO to explicitly protect non-human cultural heritage alongside human heritage.

As a small kid, our family lived here for 2 years, before moving back to Finland. I've sometimes wondered about how my life would've gone differently, had we stayed. But then I always think that it couldn't have gone that way, because her and I met after going back.

Today is my best friend’s 35th birthday, I’ve known her since we were in kindergarten, she is my sister. Couldn’t be with her but went for a walk in Toronto’s High Park. It was freezing cold but the sun came out for a few minutes.
