01.03.2026 04:44 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think a lot of Americans didnβt hear the story. I pre-interviewed a very famous American comedian for the CBC in 2016, and he went on at length about how much he loved Ghomeshi and wanted to meet him. Not defending him, the guy just legitimately hadnβt heard what happened.

Seeing people I know post Jian Ghomeshi videos about Iran in the wake of what happened today. Iβm realizing now a lot of people outside of Canada donβt know his backstory. I would encourage folks to look him up before posting his content, please

If you heard Jacob Reed on @99pi.org last year, he has a whole new podcast on name doppelgΓ€ngers, and itβs incredibly fun. Check out βJacob Reed and Meβ! Iβm really enjoying it.

Tom Noonan died, are you serious? Same week as Frederick Wiseman and Robert Duvall? Brutal, what fresh hell will tomorrow bring.
Watch Synecdoche, New York. He holds his own and his whole part is alongside PSH at height of his powers. Man, this one hurts.

The impact of Frederick Wiseman on nonfiction filmmaking was seismic beyond measure and beyond compare. Like how do you even begin to consider his influence on documentary technique or his decades of insight into how institutions (and artistic spaces) operate? What a treasure. R.I.P.

Played Pictionary with my grandma. The rules: everyone is given a prompt and has to draw it, then their teammate has to guess the prompt.
Anyway, this is what my grandmother thinks Dracula looks like. In her defense, sheβs βnever met one beforeβ so didnβt know how to depict it.
A post on threads from user stephens_bens. It reads 'I'll always remember an interview with Steve Buscemi on Bulleye, Jesse Thorn asked him "As an actor with many decades of varied and outstanding roles across your career, does it ever bother you that one of the things you will most be remembered for is a 3-second gif in which you're wearing a backwards baseball cap and carrying a skateboard?" And without missing a beat, Buscemi replied "I'm carrying *two* skateboards." And you know what? He is.' Below that is a screen cap of Buscemi's famous "fellow kids" moment.
I never noticed this either.
