Here's my second attempt at processing the #lunar #eclipse from a few days ago.

I stacked the stars and made a composite image. I'm not sure whether I'm completely satisfied with it, so I might redo it again later.

How did you get those annotations over the image?

A colorful image of a space nebula, with golden, red, cyan and dark blue areas. In the center there's various complex structures, one which looks a bit like a tree. Stars are everywhere.

The tl;dr is that colors aren’t a real physical thing.

Or have been redshifted down from wavelengths that would have been imperceptible when those photons were emitted.

Is it really "blue" if it started as ultraviolet?

This is a 4-shot composite image of this morning’s lunar eclipse with 3 longer exposures to capture the eclipsed half and the glow behind the moon along with a shorter exposure to capture details in the uneclipsed half. The stars were added in from an image taken during totality.

Jones-Emberson 1 is a large and rather faint planetary nebula. It’s also dubbed the headphone nebula because the circular shape has two symmetrical notches resembling a headphone. The central star is a noticeable blueish white dwarf. JnEr1 is about 1.600 light years away from Earth and is located in the constellation of Lynx.

It was shot on the EdgeHD 8 for a total integration time of about 34 hours in mono with Ha and OIII narrowband filters and LRGB filters for the stars.
