This is the town layout that I settled with, it has this cliff with a nice view and the native fruit are oranges.
The villagers that I started with are: Aziz, Butch, Sally (Cally), Candi, Olivia, and Rex.

I started a new town in Animal Crossing for the GameCube yesterday, I'll be posting any villager dialogue that I find funny as well as any significant milestones.

Well, that sucks...
These new Tamagotchi were supposed to come out at the start of the month, but we're already one week in and they're still unavailable.

Shiro finally reached adulthood, she is now a Furawatchi!
I think from now on there will be a random event where another Tamagotchi will propose to her, then I can start a new generation.

Shiro now became a Ringotchi!
I'm a bit upset that the growth animation can occur in their sleep so you don't really get to see it unless you pulled an all-nighter.

Shiro grew into a Mizutamatchi, she's just a lil' water drop.
Been keeping my eye on her to make sure I get the best care Tamagotchi, although I read from a guide that which character you get can be random.

Recently I heard that a new Tamagotchi came out, I'm very excited for it but I won't be able to get it until next month, so in the meantime I took out my Tamagotchi Connection!

I decided on naming her Shiro.

Finished watching Shuriken Sentai Ninninger with the bestie last night, we're starting Avataro Sentai Donbrothers tonight.

With that out of the way... I started up a new game of Pokémon Platinum!
Never played the Sinnoh games before, somehow Gen 4 went entirely under my radar back in the day when going from Gen 3 to 5.

As a bonus, make sure to avoid the EZ FLASH Parallel, it uses a fork of the kernel that the Ace3DS+ and its clones use, but this card has lower SD card speeds and doesn't support being put to sleep by closing the lid of the console.
I see YouTubers hyping up this overpriced trash.

Still, the Ace3DS+ clone provides better compatibility for most DS titles that it should be the flashcard to get over the DSTTi clone.

The only downsides of Ace3DS+ clones is that their cases are of low quality so it won't fit nicely on your console, and the kernel it uses can't bypass anti-piracy measures on some games, but this can be circumvented by using cheats to disable those checks, which the card supports by default.

DSTTi clones with pre-loaded SD cards will usually have a timebomb as well, which makes the card unusable after a certain date, timebombs are only software based so by using an updated kernel you can patch the timebomb and keep using the card indefinitely.
Timebombs won't harm your DS, R4, or saves.

So which card should you get? Ideally you would want a real Ace3DS X if possible, if not then an Ace3DS+ clone works just fine, the DSTTi clone is less desirable due to the kernel it uses having lower compatibility than the kernel the other card uses.

Do note that there are other variants of these two cards, some will have different colored shells, labels, and different year numbers, but will still share many of these traits that I pointed out to help you tell them apart. These golden cards just happen to be some of the most common bootlegs.

When you load these cards into your DS, the Ace3DS+ clone will appear as "Deep Labyrinth," the DSTTi clone instead shows up as "Touch! Bomberman Land."
This is so that the cards can pass Nintendo's whitelist using an official title, as using a custom title on the DSi or 3DS wouldn't work.

If you flip over to the other side of the cards there is another difference that will help you find out which one you have, the Ace3DS+ clone will have a red PCB, whereas the DSTTi clone will have a yellow PCB with a website address.

The two main differences you want to look for are the website address and the words at the bottom of the label.
The Ace3DS+ clone will end on .com.cn or .com.hk and say "Smart Update," while the DSTTi clone will end on .com or .eu and say "Real Time Save."

With the two R4 cards in my possession, allow me to talk about their differences.

Oh? My nearest bookstore stocked on Pokémon model kits, it has been a while since I built a kit, and they have only been Gunpla, so I might consider doing one of these in the future, sounds fun.

For context this is the second one I bought which is the good one, but the first one I was unable to cancel the order or return it, I'll get into why this one is better than the other later.

Well... The R4 card arrived, but another one is arriving soon as well, and there is something I want to rant about these things once the other arrives.

I tried again today and won a prize from the claw machine!!
Seems like an abstract shape vaguely resembling some sort of feline, a tiger perhaps.

Still awaiting that R4 card to arrive, in the meantime I figured how to import my own images to the DSi camera app to display them on the start menu.

Aw shucks, my R4 card got busted, so I went ahead and ordered a new one as well as a battery replacement for my DSi, the new one says to be 2500mAh so it should hold a charge for longer than the original 840mAh battery?
