Georgian Dream adopted another set of repressive legislateive amendments.
The most important one being further widening the scope of the ban on "(foreign) grant" legislation. Essentially any foreign payment for provided services could be seen as foreign influencing.

Lelo says that the earlier failed unity formats have "damaged public trust" and believes "we should offer the public an alternative choice in the opposition as well."
Both Lelo and Gakharia for Georgia did not boycott the local elections last year.
Remarkably Lelo did not join the alliance, but according to some they will eventually as there is no other choice.
From the de facto leadership of Gakharia for Georgia the usual drums beat: "we will never join anything that is UNM or has its blood", "that is a red line".

The Georgian opposition alliance is formed by United National Movement and other pro-western parties, such as UNM spin offs Strategy Aghmashenebeli, European Georgia, Girchi-More Freedom, Droa and Akhali.
Also the old National Democratic Party and new parties Federalists and Freedom Square joined.
Earlier today, parliament started further amendments to election code, starting with rules for international observers as announced recently.
This is another indication GD is prepping for elections. This is a minor detail that they would not touch nearly than 3 years ahead.

This further taps into expectations and rumors ruling Georgian Dream might call for snap elections this year to regain lost legitimacy (and obviously to strengthen their parliamentary majority into a constitutional majority with a wiped out pro-western opposition, offering their own proxy groups).

Looming for a little while, but nine Georgian opposition parties have decided to renew efforts to unite in an "opposition alliance". A coordination document to this effect has been signed tonight.

GD is totally confused who to feel more sympathy with: the ayatollah leadership, revolting Iranians, Israel or their ideological counterpart - who ignores GD bluntly - Trump.
Meanwhile GD boasts "the world is on fire but in Georgia we take care of peace".

However, this was more of a clan fight than a true fight against corruption. In the structure Georgia Dream is, everyone has dirty hands and can be dismissed by legal means over corrupt behaviour. It is the very structure of GD. A maffia structure and "dismemberment by law".

The reorganization goes with a large reduction of personnel.
Last year, Georgian Dream projected a tough fight against corruption among its own, not even sparing its own (former) prime minister, who stole more money than Saakashvili ever "misspent" (for alleged personal use).
Today the Georgian anti-corruption agency will be abolished and absorbed into the State Audit Office.
The anti-corruption agency was introduced three years ago as part of the conditions to obtain EU candidacy. Clearly, Georgia has abandoned the very idea to become a member.

Apart from reiterating the EU, UK and Ukraine are assumed enemies of Georgia, what is not said is more pivotal about where the Georgian government stands.
Georgian Dream essentially projects that slavery to Russia and not treating it as the real threat is protecting its sovereignty.
Georgian parliament chair Papuashvili talks about lustration "to determine who is the 5th column", "who is on the side of Brussels, on the side of London, on the side of Ukrainian government and not on the side of the Georgian people!"

Reports from Abkhazia suggest (foreign) military drones targetting Sochi crashed in Abkhazia. Which effectively means, that the likely Ukrainian drones landed in Georgian territory. No political response yet from Tbilisi.
