@footballcliches.bsky.social FYI Warwick University is in Coventry!
“For Russia, the consequences of its war on Ukraine are now harder to ignore.” We drive 350km from Moscow to see how four years of war have changed Russia.
@lmtpod.city managed to stay out of the way of the horny kamikaze pigeons so was able to witness Erling’s immense display. What a man. Khusa a close second. His pace and focus (the second bit is key) are sooo valuable.
@lmtpod.city good first half. Bernardo everywhere. Trying not to get wiped out by randy pigeons
I didn’t want to mention the war, but it is the reality. The cost of retrofitting is extortionate for many older properties with paybacks (where they exist) in decades. That is why the heat pump has failed to get any traction here dispute £billions of subsidy. Good technology but not the answer
You really ought to travel. A lot of UK housing stock is pre-war. We have a relatively mild climate so didn’t tend to build well-insulated houses. Whereas colder countries in Europe did to stop getting frozen to death. There’s the retrofit problem we have for heat pumps 💷💷💷
And where do you live? Not in a UK home built to UK spec(over 200 years) in a UK climate… wired that you would be so interested in this discussion…
@ben-spencer.bsky.social Heat pumps are a financial disaster for many existing properties as they are expensive to install and run. The Govt isn’t being honest about the ancillary costs associated with putting in a heat pump or their performance. The thermodynamic “miracle” doesn’t happen in winter
Somebody is going to have to explain to me. Speak really slowly.
@footballcliches.bsky.social I can’t stand Crystal Palace but even I think the BBC is out of order describing their loss to Macclesfield as “the greatest shock of all time” (bullet point in current Summary in live section). It’s a big shock but greater than Hereford beating Newcastle?
@bluemoonpodcast.com Just listening to Adam on latest pod. Fuck me he’s got a cob on. Bit unnecessary regarding Pep, we’re still in the game on all fronts and I think the fault lies with the front 5 at the moment. Rico did play well when he came on and should play more. But get a grip FFS
@footballcliches.bsky.social Not sure this is the most sensitive piece of sub editing from the BBC
@lmtpod.city Good show, like the chat but I’m not sure how many other shows you could do along these lines. BTW Sam a Pokémon cafe in Kenilworth not a shock given that Warwick & Leamington is a major global hub for computer games!
@bluemoonpodcast.com Painful listen this week as the audio from the Guardian bloke is awful. Doesn’t help that he mumbles/drones.
I can see why Reform would oppose measures to prevent money laundering. Maybe banks should check money going *into* bank accounts - particularly when it's Russian money going into Reform politicians' bank accounts...
Nathan Gill will be sentenced on 21st November for 8 charges of taking Russian Bribes.
It’s essential that the European Parliament carries out an investigation in to UKIP, Brexit Party and Reform UK and their connection to Russia.
Investigation now!

USA seeks to export its climate idiocy in order to undermine an international deal to reduce shipping emissions
Using all the bullying tactics it can muster, USA is threatening other countries with sanctions if they support the deal

@bluemoonpodcast.com Best save - Joe Corrigan against Leeds in the FA Cup 1976-77. I was in the Leeds end and the ball was definitely going in the net when, from nowhere, Big Joe dived across and pawed it out. It won the BBC Match of the Day save of the season - check it out.
@lmtpod.city Big shout out for the defence. Another clean sheet. Only Arsenal has a better GD. Both O’Reilly & Nunez look at home. Thank goodness we have Bernardo - mind you I’m old school. Never played Football Manager and believe Pep knows more than me….
Farage backing Trump’s line on paracetamol yesterday smacks of Boris. He will lie and cheat to get elected, but with a touch of the Kristallnacht about him
Or even game’s gone. It just sounds reverential and treating highly paid professionals as trusty old retainers. Very 1920s. Language has moved on - even for football.
Says who? Games gone
@footballcliches.bsky.social Just listened to September 11th show and the utter bollocks when describing a series of highly paid footballers as “servants”. Volunteer stewards, club officials (lower leagues), ball boys- Yes! Millionaire footballers NO!! Fuck off Adam. You knew this was coming btw.
@lmtpod.city Haaland, Foden, even Doku but Khusa - he’s maturing fast. Surely he’s the right back?
It was a really crap piece but it does show that work needs to be done to counter the Reform and Tory loons.
Reminder: At the start of his legal career, RFK Jr. failed the bar, was forced out as a D.A., and got arrested for heroin. Without the Kennedy name, that story ends there.
Manchester United ignored Pep Guardiola's warning about Jadon Sancho
Arrogant little shit who wasted a massive opportunity. He will live to regret it
Cool story bro but we saw your first (honest) response which was to threaten to sue anyone who reported on you STEALING A HAT FROM A CHILD and gloating about it. I hope you never get out from under this.
I'm sure Nigel Farage will bring this up when he testifies before the US Congress in September about freedom of speech restrictions in the UK.
