That was one of the most beautiful throw-outs of a guy stealing second I've ever seen. Textbook.

Here is a list of everybody Miami (OH) TRIED to schedule in men's basketball this season Don't blame the Redhawks for not having enough big names on their schedule. They tried to add plenty of them...and I've got the proof.

It is, especially in person. Such a wild place to watch a game, in a complimentary way.

My question is this - if the Gazelle Group is worried about getting photos to use for themselves...why not hire a photographer themselves to get pictures of those games? That would save them a lot of time and potential litigation money.

Reminder that it’s OK (and in fact, essential) to relax and find joy in your life even while terrible and deeply concerning shit is happening in the news. I don’t recommend trying to *indefinitely avoid* feeling whatever it makes you feel, but you’re still allowed to make room for other stuff

Some of you all out there really could use some time away from the feed. Go talk to a friend in real life. Get a coffee. Take a walk.

A meme of Alysa Liu based on Da Share Zone reading:

JUST WALK OUT
work social thing movies home class dentist
figure skating
too fancy weed store cops it your quick friend ships
IF IT SUCKS... HIT DA BRICKS!!!
Real winners quit
You can leave!!
Da Gold Zone

I’ve been talking about Alysa Liu’s story about her quitting skating only to come back and become even better because she did it for herself and this came to me in a dream…

Question: But what would you like for us to take away from that? What would you like for the reader to know more intimately about you and how those two separate lives that you had together and the tough decisions you made and the risk that you had to take and even growing up with dyslexia and all that-like what do you want us to take from that and where you are today?
Answer: Well, the way we're doing, some of you may have seen some of my social media. I'm on the other side. I don't want to dream of regretting anymore. No could have, would have, should have. It's all out there. I just wanted to put it all out there. I'm not trying to impress you. I'm just trying to impress upon you. I'm like you. I'm no better than you. I'm a 960 SAT guy.
And I'm not trying to offend anyone, trying to act all there if you got 940, but literally a 960 SAT guy. I cannot-you've never seen me read a speech because I cannot read a speech. Maybe the wrong business to be in. My dyslexia-l haven't overcome dyslexia. I'm living with it. I was the guy in the back of the classroom and my head down just praying the teacher didn't call on me. I think I lost count of how many schools I had to go to. And I'll never ever forget my mom's choice was never to label me. She just had to struggle with me. And I walked in-I'll never forget this. It was probably eighth or ninth grade. Walking home, got home early. My mom was always working. So I'm cooking, literally lived on Stuffer's lasagna, macaroni and cheese. I got finished two pots of macaroni and cheese and got bored and I went upstairs and there was a file cabinet open and it said "Gavin." In fact, she had a weird name,
"Gavinsky." That's like my nickname. And I open it up and it was all of these reports from the doctors and I never realized I was going after school three days a week. I didn't know what for.
And it was all around. It was the lisp and the reading-the b's and the r's were backwards, spelling which "w i"—the whole-and I'm like,
"What is this?" And that's when I learned I had quote-unquote dyslexia. My mom was furious because she didn't want that to limit me. She didn't want that to be an excuse.
But it was freeing because I never understood why it was so easy for my sister and why I was struggling. But I also never—and this is a long-winded point—I also never knew how much she was struggling trying to raise me. And you talk about that children's book. I wrote a children's book for kids with dyslexia because I was reading every night to my kids picture books and I realized that two of them—I have dyslexia-and I don't know what was worse for them or for me.
And I immediately thought of my mom and I never ever saw her struggles through that lens.
And so I wrote a book and by the way, this book-it's an ode to my mom. It's a composite of my mom. There's a letter on the back of the book to my mom. The school, the number of the school-the door is the day of her death. And it's really a composite love letter for all that she did to get me through this. And so I'm here because of that grit.
I'm here because of that resilience. And I imagine it's a story for many of you that we share. And I'm also here because of dyslexia. What a gift. What a gift it is to not have to read a script, but to be able to read a room.

Here's the full question and response.

Alysa Liu wins the Olympic gold medal for the United States YouTube video by Olympics

I urge you to stop what you're doing and watch Alysa Liu's free skate from yesterday. I have never seen anything like this. I understand why sports writers are born now. I have never seen anyone as free from the burdens of this world as this pierced Oakland girl spinning to Donna Summers.
