In Donkey Kong Bananza, DK follows objects of interest with his eyes. However, he has an incredibly short attention span. Whenever a new object enters his vision, his attention is drawn to it instead. If many objects are moving, he will be distracted by each new one.

“Industry” is the key word here. The *technology* does not need to steal artists’ work to be developed and refined. AI can exist without theft, but these business models cannot. As with airbnb and rideshare apps, these are hucksters trying to outpace regulation, not build anything lasting.

in pondlife: discone (a videogame), you can jump & surf on anything. there's no hard distinction between wall or ground. there's also no combo meter or trick button, you move your character (her name is icecream) and make it all up.

This Boer/Grok fiasco is funny, but it previews how AI chatbots will be used more subtly to manipulate public opinion.

They present decontextualized authority: unsourced, unauthored, always confident.
And we are being trained to trust them as objective or as the Wisdom of Crowds.
