We received the notice in our school district about cooperation w/immigration officials per law. My grandsons are Latinos and have been subjected to “jokes” from some of the majority white students about getting deported. As someone specializing in immigration policy and casework, it’s so upsetting.

First they came for the immigrants, and I spoke out, because I’ve read the damn poem before and I know how it ends.
