Finland and Sweden together has almost twice the amount of dedicated MCM ships as the USN…

Supposedly the LCS can do it but who knows with those

Better brush up on your Gallipoli episodes, they’ve might become very relevant soon…

I do think that they screw that up on III though by making the de facto leader of the free north an insane bigot and if you follow the questline supporting the generally most sympathetic characters involved in high politics they (and you by default) will end up siding with Nilfgaard

I am completely convinced that this reverse class anxiety is the explanation for a lot of schizo beliefs held by Western European social democrats.

Excellent hot take. Though the truth is probably something like “the most important figure in western med history pre Ceasar is some Carthaginian Suffet whose name we do not know because we have lost Carthages own histories and he didn’t interact with Greeks politically”

The thing is that they are driven by class anxiety, by the feeling of them being solidly upper middle class people in a left wing party. They thus want to pander to a working class they do not know, aren’t a part of and funnily enough mainly view through a very prejudiced lens.

American podcasts on Iran are about as illuminating as a Roman dinner party conversation on whether the Jurguthine War will play better for Marius or Sulla in the Consular elections, and its impact on the price of slaves.

What we are seeing here is the ancient Nordic sport of icebreaker racing. The goal is to keep up with the icebreaker while running as close as possible in front of it. Winner gets a well done. Losers drown as sacrifices to Njord and Vellamo.

Same. Also may of the claims are unsourced. For instance I know of two successful strikes on THAAD systems not five. The claim that Iran has managed to shut down regions airbases is also unsourced.

Broke: Trump is destroying the region

Woke: Trump is gifting future archeologists complete examples of abandoned early 21th century urbanism

Look upon my works ye mighty, and despair.

But its great guys the mongols did this in Iraq and it only took the region what, 500 years, to recover.

Perhaps but let me but this in a different way then:

Bombing apartment buildings, schools and targets of religious significance is sacking Uruk.

Destroying the desalination plants is destroying the canals and leaving it uninhabitable.

I agree to an extent but I also think we need to have an agreement of what actions are unacceptable no matter the justification of the war itself.

Hitting civilian targets is ugly. Going after desalination plants in an area hugely overpopulated when compared to the natural aquifers is civilisation extinction.
