Good morning

if only I can now find an actual job that will pay me some money, because that shit is extra hard these days... my freelance stuff barely keeps me afloat these days and I have 0 energy to look for more myself.

I am now also co-regional coordinator of my Jane Austen group (JASNA Vancouver), so that'll be fun (and a lot of work lol, but I'm super invested!!) so that's keeping me sane, otherwise I'm pretty exhausted and overwhelmed, my body feels like it's breaking down and I'm just sad all the time :(

Got super tired of social media (IG and twitter) but unfortunately twitter still has most of my friends that support me and I now took over the IG page for our regional Jane Austen group so I kinda need to be there.
And then I remembered this! maybe might go here instead of twt for the next few days

Until Andor, that is! It had such amazing worldbuilding that now I want to know EVERYTHING!!
I was advised to start with SW:KOTOR and here I am, weirded out by the fact that there's a DnD-type character creation system in the game??

19 yrs since I first saw the 6 Star Wars movies, some I liked, some not so much (I'm looking at you, cringey dialogues from the prequels), since then watching bits and pieces (and having friends like @nembis.bsky.social @jonquille.bsky.social who are proper fans) but nothing ever sparked my interest

not a huge fan of SW, barely saw anything other than the movies, but loved Rogue One and Andor is on a completely different level, it made me remember what I love about movies and TV shows, with so much crap nowadays I almost forgot how good it can be. I'm in awe to be honest

it sounded so much like French phonetically that my brain was SUPER confused, like it is sure it should understand something, but it was gibberish haha

First someone I was dating said he's a fan of Jordan Peterson's work (I had to google him but then was like wtf man), now people I've considered intelligent and not bad people do this... How mad is the world today? Last time I had such mass disappointment in people was in February 2022...

I can't believe that in the year 2025 I had to actually write out why putting elon's fucking nazi salute "ironically" as a group picture in a chat of people who I thought of as not very dumb people extremely fucking inappropriate and not funny. Sigh

I cleared up some stuff on my phone and redownloaded this app. I love twitter since I have so many friends there (and still making new ones!!) but I guess it's time to branch out to other platforms too. I even redownloaded tiktok, but I'll take text over videos any day!
