1.5 years. 100s of hours alone in the dark pushing a button. Lost a lens. Nearly drowned. Last night, I finally did it.

I’m doing my first budoir or dudoir photoshoot today. So I did a lot research. He’s nervous enough without me being undecided about how to pose him. I looked up “male budoir poses with penis” there were like 3 and the rest were just sexy pictures with women in them. Wtf?

Took a much needed break. So I’m back to give you all one as well. I stand ready but until then I plan to bring a bit of beauty to your timelines.

Photos using steel wool and whisks, bubbles, and LED lights as well as long exposure to create dazzling streaks and effects.

I finally built my final two garden boxes. I can grow twice as much as I did last season. No neat veggies to show I live upstate NY. lol. But my #columbines are amazing.

Lady Slippers are gorgeous orchids that grow here in the wild. Like a lot of orchids, they resemble genitalia. Balls, to be exact. I took 100s of shots trying to make them look less like balls. This was best I could do

Yesterday someone said “wow you guys that chase the aurora must be so patient.” 😂 lol no.

Omg I’ve been chasing the lights for so long. Yall. My app is literally yelling at me. The lights are forecast to be visible as far south as the gulf.

I will be out again tonight running around like a lunatic chasing the #northernlights. It’s been a year and this is the best I’ve gotten so far 😂

Please don't think that because I don't post about politics often, I'm not paying attention or that I'm not fighting the good fight. Neither of those things is true. Our feeds are full of politics, which is good. I share my work so we remember it's not all ugly right now..

The two most difficult things I photograph are fire spinners and the northern lights. Fire is just hard, but for northern lights one must be patient. Which isn’t a word anyone has ever used to describe me. This is my third time and the lights were weak but I’m improving

I drove an hour and a half trying to outrun the clouds. Learned a lesson: you can’t do that. I made the best of it.
