IMPORTANT #RODENT NEWS: They can throw up.
Was reading about #squirrel behavior yesterday and came across this 2025 paper: "Observation of a grey squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) suggests that some rodents can vomit"
Rarely have I been so convinced by a paper just from Fig 1.
I either take that back or I fixed it...we'll see how it goes...
They seem very fraglie - this one seems to have developed a break during mounting in this frame, and not at all in place where I would have expected it...
And yeah - $6/m on AE, so a bit cheaper.
BUT - they also have a COB version, which honestly I would have preferred... www.aliexpress.us/item/3256808...
Technically 0807, I think. So more or less 2020 in size.
Yep - 2020's. I needed them quick, so I got them from the 'zon at $15/m. Half that with bigger quantities, and probably even a bit cheaper on AliE.

160/m - not too bad
Tiny (2.7mm wide) addressable RGB LED strips!
Made sound-reactive using wled.
More to come!
Just chanting "LAKES LAKES LAKES!" over and over again.
Made a custom acrylic faceplate for my new Music Thing Modular Workshop System, and testing a POC of edge-lighting it.
Lots of components means not a ton of light makes it to the middle, but it's not bad.
It brings me a bit of joy that many of these politicians will often have to fly through Kansas City International airport (MCI) (which, like the city, is actually in Missouri).
MCI has the correct sort of restrooms, one big inclusive space with individual (fully closed) stalls.
It is ironically pretty expensive to buy cardboard shipping tubes from Amazon.
Don't make me photoshop a big golden hotel sign over it with a particular name...
If it were another organization, there would have been a forced relocation to a nice bland office park in Milton Keynes to save money.
I have a (yet to be completed) RF amp that has a heat sink with at least two broken taps in it π
Surely that helps with the heat conduction, right?
Almost as bad as tapping aluminum heat sinks...
Isn't it "bring your vomiting kid to work day"?
Inside is a label and a location sticker so you can mark where you caught it on the parade route.
Hopefully at least a few people share theirs!
I think I'm finally done making masks for the #KreweOfFreret #MardiGras parade - less than two weeks to go!
These will be thrown from the Queen's float, so turn up if you want to catch one :)
#BeMardiGras
I was going to comment on this one, but it just feels like punching down.
It's a steal!
If I park this in the parking garage at work, how much will my co-workers hate me on a scale from 1-10?
Oh, but they never actually are...I'm sure there's a ludicrous price in the ad, or something like "will trade for a late model Ferrari".
Does this have the towing capacity to haul my side-by-side? What about the other way around?
Well, apparently that's actually a thing. I still think it's unhinged.
About to start a #sleeper build, and I hear #brakes are a good starting point. Does anyone know of a Stage 3 brake kit for this #Geo?
That said...
Pretty much - ice storm inbound!
Looking for a daily driver for my kid, something safe that we can work on together and has easy-to-find parts.
Would this fit the bill?
I'm looking to do an engine swap for an NA #Miata, has anyone used one of these and have a wiring diagram?
