Trump’s VA Tried to Quietly Cut Disabled Veterans’ Benefits. We Forced a Retreat. The proposed federal rule is gone — but the legal fight that could resurrect it isn’t over.

Public pressure still works.

The VA has officially rescinded the rule that would have allowed disability ratings to be lowered if medication improved symptoms.

It’s withdrawn. Not paused. Not suspended. Withdrawn.

But the fight isn’t over.
