That said this isn't the same dev team. Some core design aspects aren't refined enough even if everything is up to modern standards. If Retro can take what they learned from this game then the series is in good hands I feel. It is clear that a lot of passion went into the game after all

My only real gripe is that combat doesn't really evolve enough as you progress. The Desert is mostly whatever but avoiding engaging with it will make the experience worse I feel. The Bike could also use just 1 more show stopper scene to make you feel cool using it too

Follow up opinion. Metroid Prime 4 is great. It is much closer to Prime 3 than 1 and I think that may have skewed expectations a bit. I wouldn't say that the game is bad or that its a victim of troubled development but their are pain points. Game feel, Art Direction, and Music are top tier tho

My unwarranted opinion on Metroid Prime 4 is that it looks fun and the npc interactions are cool and funny. One character acting a bit cringy and begin handholdy at the tutorial doesn't ruin the game. We don't know enough about the full game to know if they actually "lost the point" of Metroid too

Normally I'd do something for Day of the Dead but its going to be very late this time around
Work and projects are simply piling up on me

I was drawing an OC thing but then I realized that it looks very wonky so now I gotta restart it :p

So bear with me as I try to get stuff out the door at my usual slow pace
