10.03.2026 09:35 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I have never met another cis gay man who found it plausible that they might have been happier as a straight trans woman. This has always struck me as such a bizarro idea. Sexual orientation and gender identity are two independent things and most of us who are gender non-conforming understand that.

โIn the minds of the Appels and J.K. Rowlings of the world, it is secretly homophobic parents who force otherwise cis gay children into transitioning.
But in my experience, nothing could be further from the truth. โ

1/๐งต I am reviewing NHS Englandโs โevidenceโ papers supporting their ban of GHAT for 16- and 17-year-olds.
Itโs hard not to see this as a deliberate and malicious attempt to manipulate the evidence base. Most notably, the scope is restricted to monotherapy or GnRH analogues.
This is absolutely what will happen when young trans people rationally stop seeking NHS "care" that offers nothing more than conversion therapy appointments.

Sure would be nice if Republicans would focus on anything besides other peopleโs bodies.
Their obsession is creepy AF.
It's wild to live in a "trans refuge" state while I watch my home state attempt to pass ugly bills like this one. Really grateful to have orgs like One Iowa (oneiowa.org/donate/) fighting for our community in the IA legislature.

1. Big ruling out of Connecticut. A federal judge has ruled that blanket denials for FFS violate the affordable care act.
Though it only applies to two plaintiffs, class certification is pending, and it will provide strong legal rationale for challenges.

1. Major news out of San Jose State University.
The University has REJECTED Trump's demands to ban trans people from bathrooms, dorms, and other facilities.
This comes after Trump threatened them for once having a trans student athlete.

10.03.2026 03:14 โ ๐ 230 ๐ 56 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The high-profile exit left people inside and outside the network eager to understand the backstory. So what happened? Multiple people familiar with the matter told Status that MacFarlane had grown disillusioned with the overall direction of the network under the anti-woke warrior Weiss, who since being appointed by David Ellison in October has sought to put the venerable news outlet on better footing with Donald Trump and his administration. Specifically, MacFarlane was appalled and disheartened by the way the โCBS Evening Newsโ marked the five-year anniversary of the January 6 insurrection. At CBS News, MacFarlane had spent years aggressively covering the attack on the U.S. Capitol. In fact, as recently as Monday morning, as he prepared to make his career announcement, he posted a video on YouTube calling out MAGA forces trying to โrewrite the historyโ of that day by disseminating โlies.โ So when MacFarlane saw anchor Tony Dokoupil mark the anniversary with only a 16-second report that embraced a both sides approach to the act of violence carried out by Trump supporters on that day, he was aghast. Itโs not clear whether MacFarlane made his disapproval known to Dokoupil or network leadership, but he did communicate it to some colleagues, and it became known inside the network.

The bottom line is Trump sacrificed 8 American lives (& counting) and more than 1,000 Iranian lives (& counting) for nothing. He hurt the US & global economies, destabilized the Middle East, & will pull out with the same Iranian regime in power. There's no silver lining.
