@iwriteok.bsky.social of the Behind the Bastards podcast had a related take. Basically that if we accept that we can't appeal to the rules, the next part of the American experiment has a pretty broad horizon, and I found that gave me a little optimism ✊

Turns out John Dwyer from Thee Oh Sees was once in a band with one of the Brians — Brian Gibson — from Lightning Bolt. It was called Tar-Aiym Krang! (taraiymkrang.bandcamp.com). They were named after a fun Alan Dean Foster SFF novel, which I'm finally now reading: www.kobo.com/CA/en/ebook/...

It's only some of the songs. Maybe the cover and lyrics are two strikes, and the idea is on speakers your consent doesn't cover listeners? (I can play on my phone.) Or something to do with the integration with YouTube videos?
