I have been trying to craft my way through the stress but the dopamine was out of reach. Decided to try knitting for something new & while it’s fun learning, it is requiring a lot of effort I’m not sustaining, so I have modified my plan and I have been teaching myself mosaic crochet. #crochet🧶

Online is NOT reality, I truly think there’s a small vocal minority who are flooding the zone + bots.

I 1000% get that too! So I’m trying to think of it like all the kids movies - Ants fighting back over the fascist crickets, finding Nemo when they all swim down together to out of the fisherman net. Breaking the “individual American hero idea” that I think is propaganda to keep us isolated.

Not all of can be on the front lines, like not all of us are medics, or community leaders. But we can all contribute something. Maybe you can make art about it that helps motivate and move others to action. Organizers, planners, logistics, purchasing power. Every bit helps!

Highly advise taking some action - it can be small, like printing out zines/pamphlets with our rights, joining local protests, donating to action funds for on the ground work, call your elected leaders, show up at council and sheriff meetings. Action>fear, it takes all sorts of work to fight back.

The doomsayers are truly tiresome, and I completely endorse this policy.

It is true that hope is not a plan. But despair simply does MAGA’s work for them.

MLK was only 39 when he was killed. Growing up, I thought that was old. But I’m 43 now and I’m stunned by the burden he shouldered at such a young age. I’m also a lot more aware of how hard it is, at any age, to carry the hopes and dreams of an oppressed people on your shoulders, as so many do.

I wasn’t feeling like I had gotten better - OH YES I HAD. Gave me more motivation to keep going! it actually made me feel very proud of myself and progress.
