The clouds turned out so perfect! I was following a tutorial And now I can’t locate it to see if I can duplicate the cloud technique again. Also first time using white guache.

Birch Lake, AK south of Fairbanks. A familiar cabin on the ledge for anyone who has stopped At the highway pull off on this tranquil little lake.

A friend posted her dinner view from Puget Sound last night. I decided to paint it. I really like this one for the deep sunset color and water variations. Was a good lesson!

I love making these! Naturally downed birch from my yard (thank you winter windstorms 🙄). Wedding gift for a couple of Alaskan love birds. ❤️

The Palouse Scenic Byway in WA is so bright green and gold right now. Trying different techniques and learning landscape depth and how to draw the eye in here. These are 14”x14”.

Watercolor attempt #3 of my grandparent’s house. Was going for some whimsy, added tulips. My aunt painted the footprints in the 70’s. She is putting them back on this summer! This is my ❤️ place.

This is my second or third attempt at this. Embroidery on paper is a challenge. the artist gave a great presentation and brought us pre-threaded needles.

This trail connects to 30 miles of groomed trails. I can’t believe I didn’t learn to ski until about 5 years ago when these trails are right there. The winter colors out there are so beautiful and peaceful.

Onopordum acanthium. National flower of Scotland but an invasive species in the states. I love the purple and can’t quite seem to get my watercolor purple to that “aha” moment.
