Fab photos Alice - I hope you enjoyed the lecture and conference more broadly. Lots of great practice being shared in the geography community.

No mechanisms for this currently, we would have to send out something to individual providers, but these often get low return rates as they are not centrally sent like the DfE returns.

Why are all these universities emailing me about the QS Global Academic Survey? Y'all would be great if, in the words of @hollyjeanbuck.bsky.social, you had fewer administrators and more faculty, and stopped operating like private equity and real estate empires with education as a side hustle.

Hmmm - not sure I would define the total rise from 822 to 863 as a ‘big increase’. The target was 945 in 2022/3 and 2024/5, but jumped to (a very unrealistic) 1485 in 2023/4. Had it remained at 945, this could be described as a slight rise of 4% from 87% of target.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum responded to Trump’s proposal to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico by pointing to a 17th century map of greater Mexico and suggesting a new name for the US.

“We are going to call it América Mexicana. It sounds pretty, no?”

Trump is a global laughingstock. 🤣
