Please do your duty to uphold the law and stop this unlawful deportation.”

After nearly 3 days of travel in shackles, with spans of 12+ hours without food or water and little or no sleep, she has not been provided a bed at this facility. As I write this, she is attempting to sleep on the floor. She is being denied treatment for a back condition despite having written acknowledgement from a facility run by the SAME company that she needs this. She has no criminal record but is receiving inhumane treatment that would not be acceptable for even hardened criminals. Please continue to help me demand action for my wife and other detainees who do not deserve this. Thank you.”

I lived for several years in Vermont. Learned there was a sizeable and vocal minority of Vermonters who really believed Burlington was too dangerous to safely visit.

also, maybe I’m just not paying close enough attention, but it’s the first video ive seen of armed goons plainly jumping a guy without even the *pretext* of it being about anything other than race. Just saw a brown dude and pounced! We knew this was happening, but still horrifying to see so clearly

I get that people are finding humor where they can Ina dark time but none of the people I have seen laughing about it are in anything close to that man’s situation

Text by Tucker May: “An update: Thank you everyone for helping us get eyes on this. Local news affiliates in LA will be covering this soon. Barbara was able to call me today — she is currently somewhere in Arizona but will be moved again soon (we are not sure where). She is being denied medical equipment needed for a chronic back issue and even ibuprofen. She and the other detainees she’s with are going 12+ hours without food. We know she is still in the US but not much beyond that. PLEASE help us in contacting local government reps (especially Rep Judy Chu, Senators Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff and Governor Gavin Newsom) to demand action taken NOW to help these suffering detainees.

That’s pretty clearly not what I said. Like I did say, now that I know about the alt text functionality I have turned it on and will use it going forward. If people want to discuss that further, I’d encourage them not to do it under this thread going forward, because that is not t he topic here
