Not sure how about the app, but years ago I turned the watch history feature off on the web version. I love it as there are no recommendations.....just a relaxing black search screen 😉

I've come to love the non-fiction articles on the intersection of science & SF. This article by @andrewliptak.com looks at the asteroid belt & considers it in works by Alfred Bester, Clifford Simak, C.J. Cherryh, & others, including The Empire Strikes Back

Big fan of New Frontier! Such a great tale and Cooke's art is so much fun.

Good to know about W0rldtr33!! I remember you posting about it and see they a deluxe HC is coming out later this year for the first 16 issues. I may give it a go. I'll be keeping an eye on your progress!

Ahhhh....that explains it!!! If u decide to try it & have the shelf space & $ - the 4 volume paperback editions from 2023 are around $18-22 each and include approx. 480 pages. I have the 2 HC omnis, but my reader copies are these 4 volumes.

Bummer the library didn't have it in English!

That's a great month of reading!! I like seeing that spike mid-month where you almost hit 750 pages. Those kind of days are so memorable for me!

Side note - were you reading W0rldtr33 by Tynion? I thought so, but couldn't find your post? Maybe it's back to my old man, confused Uncle Junior brain 🤣

It won't be long now and those 90s clothes will be back in style! It's interesting to watch fashion go from grunge to skinny jeans, and now back to wide bottom jeans. Each generation rebels against the previous so if you hold onto clothes long enough, they'll come back in style!

I really wish the demand for physical copies was there for more of these online only magazines featuring SF short stories. Or even a yearly collection featuring the top 2-4 stories from each issue. All that said, I really don't need more to read 😳

I remember hearing the same thing, but I haven't read CT. I did however like the structure and story of Hyperion.

February 2026 @thestorygraph.com wrap-up!!!

Comics & manga dominated my February reading (along w/SF book - Northwest of Earth). Strangers in Paradise, Pluto, & Black Hammer are all worthy of shelf space & must reads IMO.

I really enjoyed the entire Hyperion cantos. I read them all back-to-back so don't ask me what they're really about....all I know is I enjoyed them, some very high level ideas, and a desire to reread them!

I need to explore his other works at some point as well.

I can't count the # of times I've opened an article to read on a separate tab only to have it linger there for a few days. Sometimes I add them to the favs bar, but inevitably, 99.8% end up deleted/removed w/out reading.

Trying to spend less time online so lately I'm not even doing the above!

I have a ton of podcasts saved for books I plan to read, but haven't yet. I bet there are like 40 or so downloaded.....might be hopefully thinking I'll actually get to them in this lifetime 🤔

I don't have aversion to the story itself, but YA writing is like drinking weak coffee to me - lacking substances & not rewarding. Not knocking YA, but it's just not for me.

There's even an adult title or 2 I don't have interest in reading. I won't read them just to complete the challenge.

And I'm happy you think of me & Clarkesworld!!! It means I'm doing a decent job highlighting it. I know how tenuous the SF physical market is for short stories so I feel like if I want it to continue I need to keep chatting about what makes it so great!

I'm right beside you with wanting the physical copies!! Digital copies just go into the ether to be forgotten about. I'd sub to a few more if they just offered a physical copy....I would really like to read Strange Horizons, Uncanny, & Reactor (just to name a few).

One of the many things I love about Strangers in Paradise is the prescience of @terrymooreart.bsky.social

Cover date for issue of this panel is Feb. 2000. So written at some point in the 90s & seeing the coming of the "tech bros"

If u haven't read this, what r u waiting for?

Thanks for highlighting the challenge mate!! I'm currently sitting at 9%. I'll never complete this one as I have zero interest in read The Hunger Games books as well as a few others.

On the positive....one less on the leaning tower of TBR!

Honestly, just reading your comments w/out knowing you had DNF it and I suspected this wasn't for me.

Good for you!!! I personally need to be more proactive with DNF sooner. Hopefully your next read is brilliant!!

LOL!!! I still have enough of his other works on my shelves to explore. I'm really looking forward to his short stories & maybe you'll forgive me if you knew House of Suns will never....ever....leave my collection. That is a true gem!

18.02.2026 21:59 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Have you considered DNFing it? Just curious if that has crossed your mind?

About 15% of the way into Absolution Gap. I wasn't fond of Chasm City & the first 2 books in the series were good, but not great IMO. I'm not sure they will remain on my shelves as at this point I don't anticipate a reread.

I've read Rachel Rising & enjoyed that as well. I haven't read Echo yet, but definitely need to get to it!

First, thanks for your service!! Second, thanks for the reminder...I have Motor City in single issues and have been meaning to read it. They got put in the short box and I forgot about them. Time to dig them out!

Same!! Spoilers & many also discuss themes. I want to see if I uncover those on my own & then I'll read the intro for more perspective.
