But the 2024 election proved that the Tiktok algorithm cannot be trusted so I was trying to find an easy way to get my news and someone recommended Ground News. So I am passing on the recommendation.

Like a lot of people from the pandemic I had become overstimulated and overwhelmed by the news and extremely disappointed in the extreme ways most media sources editorialize while putting face of nonpartisan and unbiased. So I took a break and the only news I consumed was from social media (Tiktok)

I've been testing out @groundnews.bsky.social as my primary news source and so far I think it's the right fit for me as someone who is deeply distrustful of American media bias.

It works fine? I had it for a couple of years. It's not as portable as it looks (heavy) but I guess that's better than being flimsy.

I have a lot of thoughts on #unemployment but I will wait until I actually start my new job before speaking.

Also I know this is LinkedIn content but people care too much over to freely spit random corporate thoughts out.

Buuuut when I could present it as something that could make Slalc/Google Drive/Teams/Dropbox better I could get better adoption.

And I say this as an internal comms person who has to work with IT to communicate new workplace tools. Everytime I had to communicate a new tool knnnneedwwww onboarding and adoption would be a pain because people don't want to spend time learning how to use something new.

There's a difference between learning a new product and learning a new feature. Pitching something as expanding the use of something rather than something wholly new will always be received better.

As someone who has worked and done marketing in tech I don't think there's enough sales strategy around integrations. I ONLY want to add to my tech stack if it integrates and/or improves the tech I am already using.

I got a walking pad on Amazon and it wasn't that expensive! I usually do a brisk walk on it while watching a show.
