I've seen some of those posts as well. Why are so many people just ratting out people they know and love like that 😭😭😭 kids are more understandable because they're just kids but adults, we gotta do better

We will survive this presidency and we will someday realize a world that will allow us to be fully and completely ourselves but until then, protect yourselves and those you love as much as you can by watching what you say online and in public.

You do not know who will call ICE. You don't know who will report that your minor friend is trans. You do not know who will report that your uncle is gay. Minors do not have the same rights as an adult and you could land you or your friends in foster care, while adult family members are deported

For any minors who may see my post: be extremely careful about what you are posting on the internet. You do not know who is seeing your posts and may decide to cause harm to you, your family or your friends. Do not post about people you know who are undocumented.

Do not post that you know anyone who is undocumented. Do not post that you know anyone is part of the lgbtq+ community. You simply don't know who is seeing your posts or what they will do with that information and you have much less protection if you are also a minor

There are many people in this country who will call ICE on you and your family and friends. There are many people who appear to be trustworthy but have no qualms about harming others to get ahead

We need to bring back constantly reminding youngsters that their digital footprint is forever. It isn't a way to shame or silence children but a reminder that your frontal lobe hasn't developed a full understanding of how to manage consequences.

Staying alive, holding onto your joy is the biggest rebellion. We will outlast these evil people.

Be vigilant friends. You don't know that any of your friends/family/coworkers are trans, gay, undocumented. Those of you who aren't in danger because of these reasons, you are the first line of defense to keeping our communities safe from fascist thugs.
