I'm not sure I've ever gotten a hat blocked before it was claimed. Lovely knit!
If parents are legally liable for the murders their children commit with weapons they provided directly or indirectly, so too should a seller who illegally sold the weapon.
I have a friend who encountered an 18 wheeler and suffered a serious brain injury. He never remembered the preceding two weeks but he's a different person than he was. We're lucky he recognized the difference and spent a long while getting help to course correct before he burned everything.
It's good to be a DINK. My nephews' school held a silent auction and one of them had a gamer basket. We gave my sister a budget and let her go. We won, basket went to the boys. One of the kids was salty his dad didn't win, so he said "I bet your aunt is in her 40s". Nephew said "Yeah, so?β π
As an Arizonan, I agree.
People always try to find what sets humans apart from animals. We demand to be special to justify our dominion over other creatures. I would rather we focus on our commonality, how we can learn from each other, and focus on living in more harmony.
One of my favorite things about the WS was falling absolutely in love with him as a player. The best part of baseball is the joy.
I respect people who have the maturity to:
- put ego/pride aside
- have a civilized & open-minded interaction
- Take accountability
- Admit they're wrong & didn't know something
- seek truth & factual information
- reject lies/false claims
- change their stance based on learning new information
etc.
Learning to be comfortable not knowing and be known to not know is one of the great moments of maturity for me. I was a gifted kid, the idea of not knowing an answer was devastating to me. Learning to fail as an adult was awful but it's made me happier and more at ease in life.
Work is the source of much of my pain and yet it allows things like this weekend escaping life to Santa Monica. I hate capitalism, I hate having to work to live, but I don't mind working for days like this.
Watching my wife replay #ffvi for the millionth time and i realized where I recognized Hegseth from.
The callous disregard for life? The maniacal delight in chaos and destruction.
Kefka.
We're watching FF villains run the US.
I often say, as a lifelong Dodger fan who spent many sad and heartbroken years with my team playing a sad approximation of baseball, that there's a lot of baseball left. No one wins or loses the season in Spring Training...have hope for your boys!
My inlaws live in Iran. We can't get updates because the US attacked their telecoms, so we have no idea if they're okay. Every death is a tragedy. Ours, theirs, everyone caught in the crossfire. Imagine if your family member's death fell into the category of "collateral damage".
Hoping for the era of anti-war protest music we didn't get.
They are so good! I love Murderbot!
Absolutely weighs like a wet, heavy blanket.
My remarks on the War Powers resolution.
Finley is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. If you can donate to their top surgery, it's deeply appreciated.

For the first time in league history, the WNBA generated enough revenue in 2025 to trigger revenue sharing with players. Players will receive $8 million.
The union will also pay out $9.25 million from revenue generated from its group licensing program.

The longer I love (fuck I sound old) the more I believe you cannot focus on love when you harbor hate. Indifference? Sure. But hate is active, infectious, and virile. It infects everything you feel, corroding empathy. When people say they "hate the sin" I believe them incapable of real love.
A 21-year-old Moroccan woman was beaten by her family when they found out she was a lesbian. She sought asylum in the US & Trump tried to deport her to Cameroon, where homosexuality is illegal.
Sometimes we get distracted by how incompetent our country has gotten, we forget how evil it has gotten.
I forget I ordered things the moment I place order and close the app. Because of this, I obsessively double and triple check before ordering anything new, just in case, which eliminates impulse buying. And I'm always surprised when things arrive and it feels like a present to myself. ADHD win.
Every time someone tries to give me the "she shouldn't have been in that position, wearing that, etc" my response has been that I should be able to walk naked down the street drunk off my ass and be safe. No one has the right to violate my bodily autonomy, regardless of how I choose to use it.

Between Fibro Fog and ADHD, it is common practice in our house to double check if someone registered what was said. We make no assumptions.
That, and being a cheerleader for their efforts. It's such a fun role and one I never get tired of.
#mentorship
One of the coolest things I've done at work is become a mentor. My current mentee just took a stand for herself in a way she didn't think possible a year ago and I am so proud of her. The vast majority of mentorship is helping reframe situations so they can get their feet going the right direction.
