But the board does need to figure it out - are you cool with a few domestic trophies every year and nothing in Europe? The first way the team will improve is investing more. The second way is playing deeper in Europe. One can’t happen without the other.

People roll their eyes, sure, but there’s plenty of good competition there and R*ngers have definitely helped the coefficient by playing well there in past years, loathe as I am to admit it.
