The Turnaway Play gives voice to participants in the Turnaway Study as they recount their experiences of receiving wanted abortions or being denied care.
The fruit is used as the model, the stem can represent the cervix, and medical students use the MVA procedure to remove the pulp and seeds, which simulate suctioning the products of conception from the uterus.
