Trans people are not the problem.

If you are concerned about trans people, I'd recommend taking a moment to think about who told you that was a critical issue. They may not have your best interests at heart.

People being needlessly cruel to trans folks? Now that is a problem.

We can't sacrifice people to "win" votes and elections, because fuck that. I'm old and have seen people try to play that game again and again, but people aren't pawns, and this isn't a game.

Anyway, protect trans kids, love your trans neighbors, and don't be a piece of shit person.

The GOP of course is using "trans rights" as their new "distraction" to scare their voters, like they did with "gay" marriage as far back as I can remember in the 90's when I was in college.

But it's not just a distraction. Trans people are one of many kinds of people they hate, and want to erase.

But even as a white cis het guy I know that if we can't support people's right to freedom and existence, for basic equal rights and humanity, what are we even doing?

I'm not a person who puts "trans" rights above all, but I know that an attack on the most vulnerable of us is an attack on all of us.

The playbook for every "concerned" legislator is:
