Just incredibly, unnecessarily cruel. And Iβd be shocked if there wasnβt wanton corruption going on here, too.

@glyph TouchΓ©'. And, given that there are individual cards and keyboards that are roughly the same in price........ um. Yeah. I guess the keyboards win. Oops.

@glyph We do. But then again, some nerds have too many keyboards, others have too many laptops, some have too many minifigs or gunpla or....
It's a hobby, as pursued by two people that understand "fun" and "optimal" as being synonyms.

A 2x4 Kallax can hold about 20k single-sleeved cards that way, which is pretty respectable for even a large collection.
It's all a bit spendy (about $1k for the drawers and Kallax alone!), but still pretty cheap compared to the cards unless your *average* MtG card is worth 5Β’ or less. The nice [β¦]

One BCW cube holds ~24 commander decks in Boulder or Bastion boxes, too, so it's also a great way of keeping inactive decks together.
(Thank you so much to @outsidercomics for getting me hooked on Bastions, they're just superior to Boulders in every way.)

I'm clearly having feelings and posting through them in ways that are unfair to the OP, but *also*, I think that hits on a more general and urgent moral point β Windows vs macOS vs Linux isn't a chocolate v vanilla kind of thing, it's a set of moral choices that you make about how to navigate [β¦]

In complete fairness to the OP, yeah, there are plenty of folks who cannot choose something other than Windows. It's why "just use Linux" is shitty advice β it's just not actionable in a lot of cases.
But "I don't *want* to use Linux" is a very different beast when you're responsible for the [β¦]

Normally, I try to reserve QBs for "yes, and," but here I want to disagree vehemently in a way that's broader and thus partially unfair to the OP.
But no, actually, I don't think it's morally neutral to just whinge about Copilot and the like. You're not making computing choices for yourself [β¦]

All shitposting aside, it's absurd that the web has gotten to the point that each individual post needs to ship not only its own presentation, but its own presentation *engine* in the form of JavaScript frameworks du jour.

Life hack: I intentionally omit the word "Sincerely" from my e--mail signature so that I have to type it out every time for every e-mail that I send. If I can't bring myself to do that, the e-mail probably isn't actually sincere, and I should probably reconsider sending it in the first place.

Maybe being a bit more specific, would a pair of LM2596s work, with each one providing 15W? That looks like it'd have about 75% efficiency, which seems a lot better than a linear regulator, but still means about 10W of excess heat?
(I should add that, due to some ancient wiring being involved [β¦]

Normally, I'd use a buck converter or a linear regulator, but that'd waste at least another 30 W of energy, and I'd like to avoid doing so *and* avoid building a big enough heatsink for all that. My next go-to would be a switching power supply, but I have 12V DC incoming, not 120V AC, and an [β¦]
