I think the offense is a known quantity. You can of know what you expect to get. The leadership is new (and in stark contrast to the guy he's replacing), so it makes for good content when there's no baseball to be played.

I still get the sense that the Cubs' preferred path this off-season is signing Alex Bregman and trading for a SP (Cabrera? Gore?).
