1st December marks World Aids Day.
Originating in 1988, World AIDS Day originated to show strength and solidarity against HIV stigma, share information and to remember the lives lost.

8th November marks Intersex Day of Remembrance.
The event began in 2005 as "Intersex Solidarity Day" following an invitation issued by Joëlle-Circé Laramée.
This follows Intersex Awareness Day (26th October) with some countries marking the time between the two events as the "14 days of Intersex"

October 19th marks the beginning of Ace week.
First established in as Asexual Awareness Week back in 2010 by Sara Beth Brooks.
With the help of AVEN (Asexuality Visibility and Education Network) this event has grown into Ace Week seeking to raise awareness of Asexuality and the Ace experience.
The 8th October marks International Lesbian Day.
Celebrated in New Zealand since 1980 and Australia since 1990, it is now an International day designed to highlight the issues faced by lesbians and to recognise and celebrate their achievements and experiences.
The 23rd September marks Bisexual Visibility day.
First officially observed in 1999 at the International Lesbian and Gay Association Conference in Johannesburg, the day aimed to promote awareness of bisexuality.

Today (July 14th) is International Non-Binary People's Day! Started by Katje Van Loon in 2012, the date falls halfway between International Women's Day and Men's Day. It raises awareness of non-binary identities and kicks off Non-Binary Awareness Week.

Lesbian Visibility Week was founded in 2020 by Linda Riley, publisher of DIVA, the world's leading magazine for LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people, though earlier observations of Lesbian Visibility Week were held in West Hollywood in the early nineties.

March 31st is International Trans Day of Visibility, created by Rachel Crandell in 2009 to counter negative media coverage and celebrate trans lives while recognizing not all can/want to be visible. Scotland's first Trans Pride March happened in Edinburgh (2018). More: 2024.transpride.scot
