Collection of 2nd edition Warhammer 40k Chaos Space Marine models

Me: after 2 months of 6mm, I need to paint a nice, easy, simple army.

Also me: 5 different colour schemes on the most detail cluttered miniatures of the era, that sounds fine.

I am dumb.

Here's stuff I can provide easily. Theyre not as fun to paint as tyranids, very small and soft detail, so the faces got lost when mass painting. Focused on contrast and simple blocks where able. Bronze instead of gold, blue as the accent, etc.

Trying to decide what palate cleanser I want to paint next. I feel like I should paint some of my vintage 90s stuff, but I might just have to do the all plastic Grey Knights so I can enjoy the simplicity of metallics.

Yeah IG are expensive, I think they needed so many models that supply was always tight for spare kits. I do have a stockpile of 1st ed Guard stuff that will be used with a couple of Epic40k stuff, but I never see any of the later stuff past that.

I think that's a very fair interpretation from our outside perspective, though it should always be noted that their track record on indigenous rights is nightmarish at all levels. Even the nominal best, like Lincoln, were monsters in that regard.

It was an import, but considering it was cheaper than a Legions Imperialis battleforce with half the models in my region, I am truly not bothered by that.

Just spent NZ$440 on some on sprue models from 1990. Sounds like a lot. But then I look at Legions Imperialis battle forces costing that much for fewer models and I'm like no, no, this is perfectly fine as a price point, and I much prefer little biker dwarves.

My post-Christmas end of year army is done in very speedy fashion. I enjoyed trusting the process and pushing simple contrast on these very small Epic miniatures for use in 2e Epic/NetEpic as Hive Fleet Behemoth. Now I need to paint some blue lads to fight #epic40k #oldhammer #miniaturewargaming
