- Generous support of many acoustic ecology practitioners around Australia, both publicly and behind the scenes (myself very much included)
- Multiple collaborative and interdisciplinary projects delivered nationally and internationally, championing exchange between acoustic ecologists, ecoacousticians, First peoples, policy makers and community stakeholders
- Ongoing service as Vice-president of the World Forum for Acoustic Ecology, and Editor-in-Chief of both Soundscape Journal and its successor, Acoustic Ecology Review, with a special edition focussed on acoustic ecology practice and research in Australia.
- The organisation and delivery of multiple significant international conferences, including Sonic Environments (2016), the International Ecoacoustics Congress (2018), ISEA 2024 and the ANAT Spectra Conference at University of the Sunshine Coast this October.
In stepping into this position, I'd like to acknowledge the incredible work of Immediate Previous AFAE President and WFAE Representative Leah Barclay, whose service, passion and drive over the decade saw many important initiatives including:
