I was able to add the printer manually to control panel and now it works. This stuff is a mess. It's 2026 users shouldnt have to do this shit. It's garbage QA from these ass companies.
You uninstall from control panel and it leaves dangling data and drivers and the "smart" doesnt clean it up
As someone who is a software engineer, I have nothing but utter contempt for the clowns that write these drivers and apps.

Went to delete the print queue to stop an unwanted job.
The menu item is next to the "delete printer"
It fucking uninstalled the printer. Now the dumb HP App still claims the printer is already installed even though Control Panel has it as uninstalled.
Installing, uninstalling, and re-installing printers is the worst
