AHPs and Safety II “AHPs are not a safety critical workforce and are a ‘nice to have’ once the medical and nursing staffing is sorted!” An intentionally provocative first line, but perhaps not entirely far-removed from ...

Diversity will suffer with five-day office mandates, research suggests Researchers say RTO mandates could hurt women and underrepresented workers, who are more likely to avoid companies that don’t offer flexibility.

"researchers who study workplace #productivity say in-office mandates most negatively impact underrepresented workers such as women and minorities, as well as caregivers and those who are neurodiverse"

A strength or deficit approach to productivity? The NHS needs to reform, many managers are poor performing and we will shame it into submission! Oh….and we consider it broken.

If Prevention Is Better Than Cure, We Need to Prioritise Children's Health | The King's Fund Shockingly, children’s health is on a downward spiral at the moment. How can this decline be halted? Jessica Holden considers some of the actions needed.

On world children's day, my @thekingsfund.bsky.social colleague Jessica Holden argues that children's health needs to be much more of a priority as part fo the shift to prevention.

The image is a screenshot of my submission to the NHS Change website and says:

Back pain is a leading cause of sickness absence and the reason for millions of GP appointments each year.

Public information campaigns overseas helped keep people in work, eased pressures on healthcare systems and enabled people to lead active, pain-free lives.

A national multi-channel campaign could achieve the same for the UK, reducing the costs of back pain to the NHS and wider economy, and delivering on the government's commitment to the prevention agenda.

I've posted my idea on the NHS Change website - have you?

Lots has been said about improving #productivity in t health sector, & lots more will be said.

This report 👇🏼 by Demos is excellent, introducing the brilliant idea (obvious in hindsight) of co-productivity.

If we co-produce the planning & delivery of services, then t outputs are co-produced too.

I’m not going to leave X just yet - I hate that sense of being driven away from a place I used to love. But after one day on here, I already know how much prefer it.

So if you see this and would be kind enough to share it to let people find me, that would be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

The Consequences Of Overlooking The Admin Front Line The important role that admin plays in the smooth running of NHS services hasn’t always been recognised. But could that be changing, asks Julia Cream?

This is very good from Julia Cream @thekingsfund.bsky.social about the vital yet often overlooked importance of admin in health care: www.kingsfund.org.uk/insight-and-...
