Another undefeated tournament for the U15 girls yesterday! They conceded 1 goal - that’s the first goal they’ve conceded in around 15 games this year. Well done girls! 💪🏻⚽

Well done to our 7-a-side S1-2 girls team who came out on top of Wednesday's SPAR Regional tournament and now progress to the West of Scotland tournament at Toryglen in March! The girls won 6 games and drew 1, scoring 18 goals and not conceding any! ⚽️

U13 ⚽ result (Scottish Cup): JHigh 0-3 St. Peter the Apostle. A really tough game for the boys against an excellent team. We battled well and were on top at 2-0 but just couldn't score. On another day we may have got the rub of the green. Good luck to our opponents for the rest of the season!

Senior boys ⚽ result (league): JHigh 6-0 St. Benedicts. Scorers: Matty, Kyle, Kenzie, Jonny, Ethan, Aaron. Great performance in horrible conditions. Well done boys and good luck to St. Benny's for the rest of the season.

U13 ⚽ result (league): JHigh 2-1 Gleniffer. Scorers: James M, Dylan A. A brilliant performance against a very strong Gleniffer side. Well done boys!

Our U15 girls ⚽ team beat Gryffe, Trinity and Clydeview in the 7 aside league which puts us top of the league! Well done girls!

Senior boys ⚽ result (Scottish Cup): Hermitage 4-4 JHigh. Hermitage win 4-2 on pens. Scorers: Jonny S (3), Mitchell S. A rollercoaster of a game which we were very unfortunate to lose! Good luck to Hermitage in the next round.

Congratulations to our junior and senior Young Musician of the Year competitors yesterday 🎶 we were blown away by level of talent of all our young people and are so proud! Congrats to our winners Evan and Matt🏆 And our runners up Kayden, Leni, Sophia, Lucy and Ella🏅

A reminder that the school will close today at 2.50 p.m. for October break and will reopen on Tuesday 21st of October at 8.45 a.m., with Monday 20th October being a staff Inservice day. We hope you all have a relaxing holiday.

Reading for Gold
Our S1s and 2s have made excellent progress with the Reading for Gold challenge and a few of them have completed bronze, silver and even gold already!

We had a brilliant Senior Phase Information Evening last week, with lots of workshops to help learners with school work and future pathways. Thanks to Mrs O’Malley for organising, and to the staff and pupil leaders for facilitating #AimJHigh #Determination

This week, Spateston Nursery children came to visit our Nat 5 Practical Cake Craft class, whereby they collaborated to make cup cakes, which were then decorated and eaten!

The children were brilliant and the cake pupils really displayed skills such as leadership, communication and integrity.

Reminder to all families, our Senior Phase Information Evening takes place this evening from 6pm. All S4/5/6 families and learners are welcome #JHigh #Determination

Fantastic day at the Scottish Parliament where some of our JHS pupils were representing the Renfrewshire Schools Pipe Band in a performance outside parliament followed by a Q&A from Tom Arthur and a visit to chamber 🎶

Congratulations to our very own Reuben McLardie, who has been selected to represent Team Scotland at the upcoming British Cycling Track Inter Regional Championships in Glasgow next month.

The event brings together the very best u16 Boys & Girls from all over the UK & Ireland.
