After several months of silence they just emailed me to let me know they will never be paying my invoice.
My success is mostly luck and the skills to capitalize on that luck. And even then it's *relative* success. I can afford to live okay, but I also struggle to get my car repaired or pay medical bills.
Comics can and should pay more, but it won't until we seize those means of production.
