Met a library patron also named Melanie yesterday, she showed me the photo album on her phone of our name spelled in unhinged ways, and most were predictable—Melony, Melenie, Melany—but one was Mealanie, this is the kind of blessed interaction that happens at the public library, save the libraries!!

Lots of stellar books this year but BOG WIFE by @kaychronister.bsky.social is my fav. This gothic eco novel examines sibling relationships in a family mini-cult, what we owe to the land, how story can be used to establish control and how we take back our power.
