I dunno, maybe I'm being daft here. Maybe outlets need to report on whatever whenever. I just think about how inevitable it feels that, say, Farage will be PM. So much of that feels driven by constant headlines. The wank should be rotting in obscurity and the media showers him with vital attention

Sometimes I read the news and think "why are you covering this. Why even bring attention to it." Saw a Guardian thing abt some nutjob in Germany saying that they need to abolish part-time work, that a country doesn't grow with "work-life balance." That is clearly fucking mental. Don't legitimise it

So, like... is Highguard any good? Didn't look like my thing at all but I also didn't remotely care enough to be like "FUCK THIS GAME" from the jump. Feels wild that that isn't just the default for people online

All this shite that people have just accepted as common wisdom about the platform/"algorithm" always just feels like vague guesswork to me. I've changed thumbnails for prior vids bc people say it can help and not once has it had any effect. Just puts you into Number Brain Mode and that sucks.

I dunno, I hate making thumbnails at the best of times. I kinda hate how big a part of the video process they've become. Seen it a lot over the years where someone will say "great thumbnail!" and the video itself almost becomes secondary. Like, who cares.

Sorry to Analytics Post but I think I'm gonna stop doing any A/B testing for titles/thumbnails. Couple of times it has maaaybe made a difference? Other times it feels like it may have hurt performance rather than helped. Prob better to just commit to a thing.
