I've been doing all my own pc stuff since an previous relationship helped me build my first. It's really easy to learn and you're not likely to break anything tbh!! If you do it on video call with a friend you can probably handle it.

If you haven't watched Katie's first essay on Slay the Princess I HIGHLY recommend you check it out! She just came out with a sequel!!

Her work is so amazing and I love putting her on while getting some rigging done.

If you really want to avoid re-doing some of the rigging. I would add a new deformer either above or below the one you're currently working on, and separate some of the parameters between the new one and this one you've been using. That way they don't interact directly.

When rigging with both blend shapes and regular parameters at the same time, you can not edit the regular param while the blendshape is activated. Any changes you make while the blendshape is on will change the rigging on the blendshape and not the regular param.

Hehehe, they're such great games! I hope you're able to get to the first one before the second fully releases (it's still early access with some unfinished parts)!
